States with diverse languages and cultures such as India, China and Russia are moving at full speed towards new nuclear plants that might be designed and developed in one state and built in another. Life-cycle of a nuclear facility consists of various phases including construction, commissioning, operation, shutdown, and decommissioning. This will enable them to use the right terminology during translation so that the translated meaning does not lose sense. Unfortunately, while some people try to use computer software for translating sensitive and technical documents, others cringe from paying technical translators the right amount of money for nuclear translations. Some organizations simply rely on their technical personnel to offer half-baked translations, which leads to costly delays and errors during commissioning and running of the plant.

Only a technical specialist with good knowledge of the workings of various types of nuclear installations can offer the right technical translation without changing the intended meaning, thus ensuring safety during commissioning, operation and monitoring of that site.
