Save energy costs with this method

Monday, September 14th, 2009

In this economy people are looking for ways to save money.  People are sending less when they go out. They just are not spending as much on entertainment. They don’t spend their money as freely as they used to.To put it another way, everyone is making an effort to save money wherever they can.One method they are looking to use to save with is their electricity.  In a time when every dollar counts a few dollars saved in energy can mean a lot.

One of the ways people have been saving is by having solar energy installed on their homes. Most of the time this is quite expensive to have done.  But people have been very resourceful and have found many ways to get cheap solar panels for their solar energy system.Usuallly what it would cost to have some electrical company go and install it for you would cost thousands of dollars.  But by finding low cost systems this is saving them money as well.

Another way they have chosen to go is intstead of buying some solar panels they have chosen to learn how to build a solar panel themselves. It is not as difficult as it seems. Also there is plenty of ways you can find instructions on how to go about doing that.  By doing it themselves this again can save them thousands of dollars.

Now everybody may not be the DIY solar panels maker but these guides are so good you could even have someone build it for you.Of course like before this would save you money versus going out and buying factory made solar panels.

Either way you will be saving money and energy in the long run.  So if you go with buying some inexpensive solar panels and installling it yourself that will save you money.  Or if you choose to build it yourself, that will save you money.  So in a time when you need to save money, this is a good way to go.

Simple ways to save energy

Monday, July 27th, 2009

There is a lot of discussion in the world today about the energy crisis and about ways that we can help solve the problem.

If you’re like me, then you can get a bit overwhelmed with all the information out there. I am tired of hearing about global solutions that are aimed at making expensive changes. I would rather hear about the little things that I can do everyday to help. So I’ve done some research for everyone’s sake and have come up with a few basic methods of alternative energy that almost anyone can follow.

First, and rather obvious, is to drive your car as infrequently as possible. We can’t all stop driving every day, but there are reasonable ways to apply this idea. But perhaps we can all look for small and simple ways to share rides to reduce how much we drive our cars. Use techniques like carpooling or leaving one car at home to help with the energy crisis. Better still, try to walk or ride a bike whenever you are able.

Other simple methods of saving energy are to shut off lights during the day and let the free light of the sun illuminate your room or office. I cannot tell you the number of homes and offices I have entered in the middle of the day that had lights going full blast while the sun was beating in from outside. Take a minute and look around your house and find some things that you can turn off. The chances are good that everyone reading this has a at least few small ways that they could reduce energy consumption each day. If you want to cut your electricity costs as well as save the planet, then you might want to consider cutting off the power company by learning how to build solar panels The world may not be changed by one more order from the government, but it just might be changed as individuals do their part in helping find and use methods of alternative energy.
