In The Future We Will All Use Solar Energy Panels To Supply Us With Economical Electricity
Tuesday, May 26th, 2009Solar panels first appeared several decades ago and they were a revolutionary invention giving us the ability to extract energy from the sun and convert it to electricity. Surprisingly it has taken this long to see them being installed on lots of new buildings when they are constructed. There is no cost at all for the energy that the sun sends us and having found a way we can convert this energy that arrives on the surface of the planet when the solar panels are installed we get free electricity.
People do wonder why this hasn’t happened a long time ago but as so often it all comes down to the cost of materials that are required because the output of electricity from solar panels is still fairly low. We have come a long way and the best solar panel to energy conversion rates is constantly being improved as development work continues to improve on the materials used in manufacture. The photovoltaic panels now being constructed are using several different layers of very thin films of materials and combined in this way the material generates electricity when it reacts to sunlight.
When solar panels were first developed their efficiency was lower and energy was cheap so the savings in electricity costs took many years before the cost of the solar panels installation was repaid and the energy was truly free. The technology of solar panels and the photovoltaic cells used in their construction is much improved which gives a much quicker return on the costs of installing the solar panels system which has been reduced to around ten years. There are many benefits to using solar panel energy but one of the most important is that after the installation there are no further costs and you get free electricity every day whatever happens in the future to energy prices.
The cost of solar energy panels has reduced as better manufacturing processes have been developed a reduction in the basic cost of the panels and improved efficiency and conversion ratios enabling standard installation on every new building saving us all money and cutting carbon emissions from power stations.
